Seminars
Lumen
Verum Apologetics is Australia's premier lay Catholic apologetics
organisation. We have a number of experienced speakers on our
regular staff and are available for apologetics presentations.
Contact the convenor of Lumen
Verum Apologetics, Arlette
Bowen, to book a presentation or for more details.
The topics we are able to cover
include all of the topics listed in our LVA resouce section. These
topics include: Apostles Creed, Law and Life, Human Life and the
Family and Apologetics. We also can develop talks to meet your
specific needs.
Lumen
Verum is a non-profit organisation, we are not in it for
the money, but rather to spread the truth, all of the staff of
Lumen Verum Apologetics at this time
are engaged in private employment and as such do not require honoraria
for their efforts. However, we do request that some contribution
is made to cover the costs of the speakers in travelling to venues
and for the running costs of our apostolate.
For talks, seminars or conferences
outside of the greater Sydney metropolitan area we request a contribution
to offset the cost of travel and accommodation (we don't mind
being billeted if it works out cheaper for you!). As well, the
opportunity to take up one collection for every two talks and
the opportunity to set up a stall of Lumen
Verum Apologetics literature and media will be appreciated.
It is requested that multi-day
conferences be timed in conjunction with the New South Wales department
of Education school holidays, this rule can be mitigated, contact
David Obeid for details.
It is a requirement that the
hosts obtain the approval of their Parish Priest for the talks,
even if they are conducted in private homes. Contact Robert
Haddad for details.
All advertising and promotional
costs for the seminar are incumbent on the hosts (but we can give
you a few tips to save money! Contact
David Obeid for details).
If you would like to book a
one-night talk, an all-day seminar or a multi-day conference Lumen
Verum Apologetics is happy and competent to provide the
speakers.
